These Terms govern your use of all digital services provided by the United Jake Government. By accessing any official .uj or unitedjake.pages.dev domain, you agree to be bound by these provisions.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using any website, portal, API, or digital service operated by the United Jake Government (collectively, the "Services"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services. Continued use constitutes ongoing acceptance of any amendments made in accordance with Section 09.

These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and the Federal Government of the United Jake, enforceable under Article 12 of the Constitutional Code.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:

  • Government β€” The Federal Republic of United Jake and all its ministries, agencies, and instrumentalities.
  • User β€” Any natural or legal person accessing or utilizing the Services.
  • Services β€” All digital platforms, websites, APIs, databases, and e-government portals operated under the .uj or unitedjake.pages.dev domains.
  • Personal Data β€” Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, as defined in the Data Protection Act 2024.
  • Blockchain Record β€” An immutable, cryptographically secured entry on the United Jake Federal Ledger.
  • Constitution β€” The United Jake Constitution will be revised through a nationwide referendum when it is needed.

Use of Government Services

The Government provides digital services to facilitate civic participation, administrative efficiency, and transparent governance. All Services are provided on an as-needed, as-available basis subject to the following conditions:

Secure Authentication

Users must authenticate via the national digital identity system (UJ-ID) for any service requiring personal data access.

Blockchain Integrity

All official transactions and records are immutably stored on the Federal Ledger and may be independently verified.

24/7 Availability

Core e-government services operate continuously. Scheduled maintenance windows are announced 72 hours in advance.

User Obligations & Conduct

Users of the Services agree to the following obligations. Violation may result in suspension or termination of access, civil penalties, or criminal prosecution under United Jake law.

  • Access public data and open datasets for research, journalism, or personal use
  • Submit feedback, petitions, and legislative proposals through official channels
  • Create automated requests (API calls) within published rate limits
  • Use official government content under CC-BY 4.0 attribution

  • Attempt unauthorized access to restricted systems or databases
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload government infrastructure
  • Submit false information on official forms or applications
  • Use government services for commercial solicitation without authorization

Privacy & Data Protection

The United Jake is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal data. Our data practices are governed by the Data Protection Act 2024, the Right to Data enshrined in the Constitution, and these Terms.

Your Data Rights

Right to Access Request a complete copy of your personal data at any time.
Right to Rectification Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Right to Erasure Request deletion of data no longer necessary for its original purpose.
Right to Portability Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to Object Object to processing based on legitimate interests or public tasks.
Right to Protection Constitutional guarantee against unlawful surveillance or data abuse.

Intellectual Property

All content, branding, code, and data provided through the Services are subject to the following intellectual property framework:

Public Domain

Laws, regulations, official announcements, and court rulings are in the public domain and free to reproduce without restriction.

Protected Works

The United Jake flag, coat of arms, official seals, and the UJ-ID system are protected state symbols. Unauthorized commercial use is prohibited.

Open Content

Unless otherwise noted, government publications are licensed under CC-BY 4.0. Attribution to "United Jake Government" is required.

Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While the Government endeavors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all information, no express or implied warranties are made.

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the United Jake, the Government shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Services;
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities;
  • Service interruptions due to force majeure, cyber incidents, or scheduled maintenance;
  • Decisions made by Users based on information obtained through the Services.
In no event shall the aggregate liability of the Government exceed the amount paid by the User for the specific service giving rise to the claim, or 100 UJ Dollars, whichever is lower.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through the following progressive steps:

Good Faith Negotiation

Parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute through direct communication within 30 days of formal notice.

Mediation

If unresolved, the dispute shall be referred to the United Jake Mediation Bureau for non-binding mediation.

Arbitration

Binding arbitration administered by the Federal Arbitration Council, conducted in English or the User's preferred official language.

Judicial Review

Either party may seek judicial review before the Supreme Court of the United Jake on questions of constitutional or fundamental rights.

Amendments & Updates

The Government reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect as follows:

  • Public Notice β€” Revised Terms are published on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
  • Comment Period β€” A minimum 30-day public comment window is provided for non-urgent changes.
  • Citizen Assembly Vote β€” Material amendments require approval by the Citizen Assembly (see Government).
  • Blockchain Record β€” All versions are immutably archived on the Federal Ledger with cryptographic timestamps.

Your continued use of the Services after the "Last Updated" date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
